Events About us · Prizes and accolades · Press review Celebrations of famous Newsletter Visite in cantina Premio Ferrari - Titolo dell'anno e Copertin

Giulio Ferrari is already well-known in the States, but now after participating in Wine Spectator's Grand Tour and the wine tastings led by Marcello Lunelli it is even more well-known.
For those who don't know, Wine Spectator, certainly the most important and influential monthly wine magazine in America and perhaps the world, each year organises a tour of the most important US cities, this year Chicago, Las Vegas and Boston, with wine tastings of the best labels in the world.
The criteria is quality according to a ranking of the top score ratings given to the wines by the magazine's board of tasters.
It was a great satisfaction for Ferrari to be the only Italian bubbles present; recognition of the work, carried out over one hundred years of company history, aimed at only the highest quality, and a modern Italian-ness which is always appreciated in the States.
A Grand Tour of sensational wines dedicated to a select public willing to pay a 220 dollars entry fee.
Marcello Lunelli defines the experience as “thrilling” for the interest and expertise shown by enthusiasts for the quality Italian bubbles at the Ferrari stand. “A sign,” Lunelli continues “that the work carried out on the US market by Ferrari and its importer Palm Bay to promote and correctly position the quality of the Italian method is achieving excellent results”. A feeling which is also confirmed by the visit made to Ferrari by Thomas Matthews, Executive Editor of Wine Spectator, during the Las Vegas evening which rounded off a tour full of positive feedback.

Ferrari Riserva 150th, a special limited edition for the official celebrations of the 150 year anniversary of the Unity of Italy

"The Italian bubbles par excellence" is how Ferrari has been defined many times and it has also had the honour of being the toast at many of the most important official functions in our country. In line with this tradition, Cantine Ferrari has decided to celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the Unity of Italy by dedicating a special Riserva to this special occasion, realized in a limited edition of just 1861 numbered bottles.
Ferrari Riserva 150th is the name, an elegant metodo classico expression of the 1999 vintage which originates from a careful selection of Chardonnay grapes from the best vines owned by the Lunelli family, on the slopes of the mountains in Trentino.
This special Riserva, which is not for sale, can boast the official logo for the 150th anniversary celebrations: three fluttering Italian flags, representing the three jubilees in 1911, 1961 and 2011, an ideal link between the generations.
The Ferrari Riserva 150th is the contribution towards the celebrations of a company that has always believed deeply in the value of Italian-ness in its own products. One thousand of the 1861 bottles, donated by Cantine Ferrari to the Italian state, will be offered as a joyous symbol of Unity during the busy programme of official celebrations, starting with the events scheduled at the Quirinale Palace for Republic Day. The remaining bottles will be given to people who have distinguished themselves by their achievements in various fields for Italy or by promoting Made in Italy throughout the world.

Jet’s thirty years celebrated in Japan with a Ferrari toast and the honouring of Thierry Cohen

If Ferrari’s sparkling wine has become a success story in Japan, served by the finest establishments, a good part of the merit goes to Jet (Japan Europe Trading), the company that includes Ferrari among the famous names it imports into Japan. The fact that Jet, headed by the Cohen family (picture aside), is well-deserving of its status as an Italian food-and-wine connoisseur is demonstrated by the fact that its thirtieth anniversary was celebrated with a huge party at the Italian embassy in Japan. A celebration that was also a cultural exchange between Italy and Japan, showcasing the best of the two countries in terms of cuisine, music, etc. There were at least 300 people attending, including authorities, restaurateurs, journalists and wine-makers, all toasting with Ferrari, of course. And at the end, almost a tradition at the thirtieth anniversary of Jet, a surprised Thierry Cohen was honoured for his work in the promotion of Italian food and wine products, and was awarded the title of “commendatore”. Our congratulations go out to Thierry and to the entire extraordinary team at JET!

Ferrari Perlé is on show at the Salone del Mobile in Caffè Trussardi in Piazza della Scala and in the Zegna showroom

At the most refined events during the Salone del Mobile (furniture fair) in Milan the protagonists have been great Ferrari labels. This is what happened for the cocktail evening “Trussardi My Design”, on Tuesday 12 April on the extraordinary stage of Caffè Trussardi in Piazza della Scala and for the party, held on Wednesday 13 April, in Ermenegildo Zegna's showroom in Via della Spiga, one of the most symbolic streets for haute couture and design. On both occasions the only bubbles offered were Ferrari bubbles: the Perlé and Perlé Rosé at Caffè Trussardi and the Perlé in the Zegna showroom. And there is more Ferrari at Trussardi. Until the end of the Salone del Mobile Caffè Trussardi's window is a triumph of two Ferrari labels, the Perlé and Perlé Rosé.

As usual we are waiting for you at the Vinitaly - Hall 3 - Trentino - Stan
